About DBCareers

What is DBCareers?
DBCareers is a specialist careers platform built exclusively for database professionals — DBAs, DBREs, database engineers, database platform engineers, and specialists in performance and reliability. Every listing is a database role — Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and more. No general dev jobs, no consultancies fishing for CVs.
Which database engines do you cover?
Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, and the major cloud services (AWS RDS/Aurora/Redshift, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL/BigQuery, Snowflake). If you specialise in something less common (Db2, Sybase, Neo4j, etc.), you can still list it on your profile.
Is DBCareers free for database professionals?
Yes — completely free, always. Creating your profile, browsing jobs, applying, and messaging with recruiters costs nothing. Recruiters pay to post jobs and search the talent pool; database professionals never pay.
Who runs DBCareers?
DBCareers is an independent platform, not owned by a recruitment agency or a large corp. It exists to make database hiring cleaner and more direct — for both sides.

For Database Professionals

How do I create a profile?
Click Create Profile on the homepage, enter your name, email, and a password. You'll get a verification email — click the link and you're in. From there you can fill in your technical skills, database platforms, employment history, availability, and salary expectations.
Do I have to verify my email?
Yes. We send a verification link to the email you sign up with — you have to click it before you can sign in. It stops fake accounts and keeps the platform legitimate. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder or use the "Resend verification email" button.
Who can see my profile?
By default, verified recruiters on paid plans can see your profile in the talent pool. You control visibility in three ways from the My Profile tab:
  • Active — actively seeking, visible to all recruiters (default)
  • Open to opportunities — visible but signalling passive
  • Not looking — hidden from all recruiter searches
Can I hide my profile from my current employer?
Yes — this is one of the main reasons the platform exists. In the Visibility & Privacy panel on your profile page, add your current employer (and any other company you don't want to hear from) to your blocked companies list. Anyone from that company searching the talent pool won't see you.
How do recruiters contact me?
Through the platform's messaging system — not via your personal email. You'll see incoming messages in your Messages tab. Your email address is never exposed to recruiters unless you choose to share it in a reply.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password?, enter your email, and we'll send you a reset link. Links expire in 1 hour for security.
Do you sell my data?
No. Your profile is used only for matching you with recruiters on the platform. We don't sell data to third parties or use it for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
How do I delete my account?
Email info@dbcareers.tech from your registered address and we'll delete your account and profile within 7 days. You can also set your profile to "Not looking" instead, which hides you from all searches without deleting anything.

For Recruiters

How much does it cost?
We offer flat monthly or annual plans — Starter, Professional, and Enterprise — with different job-posting limits, talent-search access, and team seats. See the Pricing section on the homepage for current rates.
How do I post a job?
Create a recruiter account, verify your email, choose a plan, and click Post a Job. The form captures the essentials (title, location, salary, DB engine, seniority, description) and your listing is live immediately.
Can I search the database professional talent pool?
Yes — talent-pool search is included on all plans. You can filter by database engine, years of experience, availability, work preference (remote/hybrid/on-site), and location. Click any candidate to see their full profile.
Can I add my team?
Depends on the plan — Starter is one seat, Professional is three, Enterprise is unlimited. Team management lives under Company Settings once you're signed in.
How do I cancel my subscription?
From your Subscription page, click Cancel. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.
